What happens to people?
I've noticed that there is a clear rotation in the field of esoteric and parapsychology. Most people enter into the subject with great enthusiasm, and after max. few years, on an average I'd say 3 years (but this is not any stats that I calculated, just general observation), leave and abandon the subjects - typically forever.
A bit similar situation is with arts or music, things that are poorly "monetized" today, and I know many people who had bands and wanted to play music professionally, and ended up as employees in various companies.
I can understand musicians, they wanted to live from their hobby, but personal and business difficulties destroyed their plans, and a typical traditional family life doesn't allow for much freedom, which perhaps is required for such goals. But what about esoteric fields?

Money is always the problem. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Eve Robert Bruce himself often said the money and taxes are real
