Missed Exit or Instant OBE?
Do you need to be consciously aware of yourself exiting the energy body during an OBE? Can you suddenly find yourself looking through astral eyes or through an altered version of your surroundings without remembering an exit? I'm curious if this type of experience qualifies as a regular dream instead of an OBE or a lucid dream.
I found myself looking through astral eyes up at the ceiling and it was a lot higher than it is in real life. Another day, I found myself standing in lush tropical grasses whereas my lawn is ground cover and traditional lawn grasses. My feet were also those an unknown hairy creature rather than typical hairless human feet.

For me, there is a difference between dream consciousness and OBE consciousness. In an OBE, I am MORE conscious than when I am awake in my body. In a dream, less so. I haven't had a lot of OBEs scattered over the years, but all of them had this characteristic of being more awake than awake. That has led to my conclusion that "dying" is going to be like waking up from a dream.
