Life on Mars (Venus, Mercury, Sun etc.)
Moon excluded - it is now considered a territory of a certain country on the Earth. However, no one has officially acquired any other planet.
My views on Mars are the following:
it is a planet very similar to Earth, yet much less rich in resources than our planet
it has been made in such an almost-to-use-but-not-enough state deliberately
By whom?
By the same designers who created the Earth and the rest of the solar system. Yes, I don't know what you think, however there are really many evidences which imply that our solar system is designed - i.e. a product of an intelligence, not just blind physics laws.
Thanks to these evidences, we can re-create the history of the entire solar system, of the Earth, and - also - all the species on the Earth - this includes homo sapiens specie (DNA of the human being is a product of engineering, not a random product of random laws). In short, Mars has been designed upfront as a planet that is to be transformed (terraformed) into one that reflects the environment as found on the Earth.
Why?
Let's take into account the intentions behind creating the Earth ecosystem - why it has been created in such a way that all species on the Earth face so many challenges, problems and conflicts? The problem-driven design is the primary motivation and intention behind the Earth system and reincarnation system. The conflicts put pressure on all living beings. A human being has been created and designed as a weak, slow, not that agile, in need of having a house or an equivalent to protect him against the wild nature. But the intelligence or mind is that "thing" that should - with all this pressure coming from the danger from the nature - lead us to the solution, the product of human minds is in general the civilization.
This civilization was, is and will be developing - as humanity as a whole would develop (in the common sense of the "development" word). The Earth is at the moment somewhat overcrowded. Solution? Go beyond the Earth, create farms on Moon (not like those on Earth, rather in closed glasshouses), and next step - on Mars.
Which - I'm 100% certain about that - would trigger a lot of extra problems, conflicts, dangers, deaths, catastrophies etc. All these problems for the human kind have been designed upfront. Why then people would want to go to such a dull and unfriendly place as Mars? Because the Earth is not going to be a secure place in future - again, this is by design to provide for humanity the problems to solve, not a paradise - and problems are designed by involving the pressure within them. Mars is going to be for some people the first obvious choice in distant future - with all the problems that this neigbour planet has - also by design.
One word about the death: from the extra-terrestial designers' perspective, a life of a single human incarnation is not quite valuable, just as a blade of grass is not valuable for us - they serve certain plans.
Yes, this means that we are in such a position to be detectives able to re-create facts behind the facts that underlie the creation of the planetary system in this part of the cosmic space. We can, like a researchers, find out about these plans that I mention in last paragraph - by many means, of course using the power of our minds.
