When I use the dual tube method for energy work, do the inner tubes rotate without coming into contact with the body? If neither the inner nor outer tubes come into contact with the body, am I using visual perception to drive energy instead of tactile perception?

The problem is, when using the dual tube method for energy work, how to use tactile sensation when neither tube is in contact with the body? If the inner tube uses a bandage wrapped tactile sensation, what tactile sensation is used for the outer tube?
