How can I know I am ready to do a 6 hour attempt?

I am back here, after 2 years. I gave up on Roberts method because I didn't have enough energy to do a kundalini awakening. So I moved on and spent the last 2 years with a lot of kundalini activations. The first year I did on average 5 sessions per week with different teachers, mostly remotely and a few in person retreats. I had some big emotional releases (crying for days or screaming from anger during every meditation). After that I could not meditate more than 20-30 minutes per day, the energy was just too much. About the last 2 months things have stabilized. Now I can feel a lot more energy in my body buzzing everywhere, basically seconds after I sit down to meditate, but I am also a bit more cautious this time, who knows what other big emotional bombs are under the surface. I don't remember Robert talking much about this aspect. So my question is this: How do I know if I am ready for another attempt? And this question has 2 parts. How do I know I am not gonna overwhelm my nervous system / subtle bodies? And how do I know that I am actually capable of doing this? Meaning that my energy body has enough free energy/prana to do this? If I would give these practices to somebody on the street with no spiritual background, and they would start doing 6-8 hour sessions every day, probably it would not work and they would give up in a few days, because they wouldn't feel much happening. Are there some kind of indicators that signals that I have enough prana and released enough traumas. So I am looking for the sweet spot in between nothing happening vs emotional overwhelm or breakdown. Thanks, Gabor

Hi Gabor,

I, much like you, took a long break from Robert’s Kundalini methods. Robert was my first introduction into the world of meditation and energy work, and I found his methods to be eye-opening but also a little intense for my body since I was just starting out. I’ve taken a 2-3 year hiatus to work on other forms of energy work and growing my direct connection to my higher self. I have just closed a phase of my spiritual journey, and recently sat in meditation and simply asked my spirit the question “Am I ready to start my Kundalini awakening experience again?” Shortly after, I received a symbol of a green traffic light and a feeling of levity, and that was all I needed to know. When I attempted a long kundalini session 2 years ago, I could feel physical resistance in my body and all signs were pointing to needing a break. I had several chakra blockages that required individual attention. Now, the energy seems to flow much more easily and without as intense of sensation/does not require as much effort to stimulate.

I am a big believer in the concept of “Ask and you shall receive”. Your higher self can advise you better than anyone else, so maybe sit in meditation and ask if you are ready to attempt a 6+ hour session. While you are in mediation, take note of any images, feelings, smells or other sensations that your higher self may be using to communicate with you. The signs may not always be obvious, and could take some time to come through, but your questions are always answered. This is the advice that worked for me, so maybe it will resonate with you, too. Anytime I would ask a question and feel/see/sense/know resitance, pain or strong stuck emotions, I knew there was something around the question I needed to clear and address before proceeding. If your higher self tells you you're ready and all signs point to "Go!", I would think your nervous system would be prepared to handle the new energies.

Best of luck! - Isabel
